Who We Are

Daniel L. Kayser, founder of our radio ministry, assembled several friends together on February 26, 1987, at Nachbar Appliance in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and explore the possibility of starting a new Christian Radio Station. The consensus of those in attendance was to proceed with the project. Our goals were:

To be a non-profit, non-commercial Christian Radio Station

To provide beautiful Christian inspirational music to the Christian Community

To hopefully plant a seed in the unsaved listener's heart that will change that individual's life for the better

To encourage new Christians to attend and become involved with a local church

To provide news and programming that will be a blessing and have interest to all area residents

To be a focal point for area churches and to assist them in their respective ministries by making announcements of their special events

To coordinate Christian concerts and other area activities that will be a blessing to all Christians regardless of their respective religious affiliation

Since we went on-the-air December 26, 1992, Christians in the area have rallied and supported WXML Christian Radio through their prayers, letters and financial support. It is evident that they want Christian Radio in this part of Ohio. WXML is currently broadcasting to all or part of 23 counties with a potential listening audience of 750,000 individuals. Through God's blessings of your continued prayers and financial support, you are helping us to change lives on a daily basis! YOU ARE THE TRUE HEARTBEAT BEHIND THE MINISTRY!

Scripture

We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (II Timothy 3:16), which we understand applies to the entire 66 books called the Bible, in the sense that the Holy Spirit "breathed out," or inspired the very Words of the sacred Writings to holy men of God and that His inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the writings, historical, poetical, doctrinal and prophetical.

Separation

We believe that every saved person should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon his Savior, that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures and practices, and all wicked associations is commanded by God (Psalm 1:6; 1 Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1-2; 14:14; I John 2:15-17; II John 9-11; 2 Corinthians 6:15-17; I Thessalonians 5:22).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in Jesus Christ; that salvation is not merited, nor secured in part, or in whole by any virtue, or work of man; that the remission of our sins was accomplished by the work of Christ through the shedding of His blood on the cross; that all true believers have salvation as a present possession, son ship in the family of God, deliverance and security from all condemnation and every spiritual resource for life and holiness John 3:16;6:28, 29;14:6; Acts 4:12,16:30,31; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:18, 19; John 1:12).

Christian Music

We believe that the primary purpose of Christian music is to offer praise unto God; to edify the saved listener and to plant a seed in the heart of the unsaved listener that Christ will nurture into complete salvation. Christian music in the Scriptures is found as a sacrifice of praise, a vehicle for soothing the troubled soul. It is the goal of New Vision FM to present distinctive Christian programming that lifts up the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God (II Chronicles 5:13; I Saul 16:16; 16:23; Psalm 43:4).
