Caleb Carlson

NewVision FM is excited to introduce a new member of our team, Caleb Carlson. Caleb recently graduated from Cedarville College with a Bachelor of Arts emphasis in Audio. He has been part of Cedarville radio station and was in charge of their operations and music rotation.

He is originally from Minnesota and will be the Operation Coordinator, assisting and learning the station operations from Jon Bowlus. Caleb shares: “Humanity lives day to day with deep desires. I grew up with these desires. I lived my life trying to find what would ultimately satisfy me; what would make me feel complete. During this time, I chased everything I could. I always placed my hope in whatever I acquired next, and I knew I would be happy once I had it. Yet, I would feel empty and broken; all that I had gave me no joy and contentment.

During this time, the answer to my longings always remained in front of me. I attended church weekly and spent time studying the scriptures with a group. I, however, remained blind to the only hope I needed so desperately. But in the abundance of God’s love, He revealed Himself to me. In time, all that I wanted became useless and even a hindrance to me.

By God’s work on my heart, I forsook all that I once sought after. My trophies and prizes became chains to me. For God had given me a glimpse of who He is. He showed me that He is not only the creator of everything, not only the God who holds the universe together. He is the God who, in love, bore the punishment that I deserved. Showing Himself to be righteous and just by punishing evil, yet so kind and gracious by bearing the punishment for us. Not only did He bear my punishment, but He also desired to have a relationship with me. He also changed my desires toward Him. Now, when I seek God, all my longings are filled. In Him, I find my comfort, hope, and rest. I am no longer striving to find value in this life because my identity is found in the God who created me. My past desires have simply faded or drowned in the love of God.” WELCOME TO THE TEAM, CALEB!!!
